He is survived by: his wife Maria Margarita Brionez; and his children, Ricardo Briones, Jr., Jose Brionez, Rene Briones, Norma Vargas, Javier Briones and Saul Briones of Tulia. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
