She was predeceased by: her siblings, Willie Vaughan (Thelma), Simmie Vaughan (Zora), Brill Vaughan (Iva Lee), Buck Vaughan (Glenna) and Zelma (Weldon McClanahan); and her daughter Cynthia Starkey (Harold).
She is survived by: her children, Dave Nelson McGavock of Happy and Peggy Carter (Kim) of Tulia; and her grandchildren, Jay Starkey of Graham, Dennis Starkey of Graham, Curtis Carter (Jessica) of Austin and Tammie Carter of Colorado Springs, CO.
