He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Henderson and Mattie Lee Henderson (Hunter); his brother Veotis Henderson; his grandson Dorian Henderson; and his close friend Ella Mae Gardner Muhammad.
He is survived by: his children, Nanette Henderson, Yolanda Henderson, Cleveland Joe Henderson Jr., Latonya Henderson, Guy Henderson, Quincy Henderson, Veronica Henderson and Cedric Parker; and his former wives, Nancy Henderson, Debra Thompson and Janice Parker. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
