It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Izetta Sams of Terrell, Texas, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Roosevelt Sams; her grandparents, Horace, Mahalia Christman (Sheppard), Tom and Caroline Clemons (Baker); her parents, Ollie Christman, and Ruby Christman, Sr. (Clemons); and her siblings, Ollie Jr. (Louise), Amziah (Ida), Nathaniel (Shirley), L. C. (Dorothy), Jessie May and Willie Maxine.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Oates (Theorphus) and Gale McClinton (Johnathan); her sisters, Helen Fears (Johnnie) and Otelia Cannon; her sisters-in-law, Ida and Dorothy; her grandchildren, Michele (Garrick), Latrice, Angalina, Aleesha and Nathan; her great grandchildren, Mykaele, Derron, Aaliyah, Malayia, Qingston, Owen, Olivia and Golden; and her godson Willie "K. C." Coleman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and good friends.
