He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Tapp and Edith Tapp; his sister Edith Scott; his wife Donna Tapp of Terrell; his son Justin Tapp (Desiree) of Emory; his grandsons, Hunter and Colton Tapp; his nephews, Kyle Hughes (Amy) and Brad Hughes (Mimi); and his mother-in-law Hazel Daniel. He was also cherished by several other extended family and many friends.
