He was predeceased by: his father Tilman Jackson Prater, Jr.; and his brother Arthur Floyd Prater. He is survived by: his mother Jane Prater of Rogers; his siblings, Willie Prater (Cheryl) of Zabcikville, Judy Gibson (John) of Weatherford, Tom Prater (Janet) of College Station, Joe Prater of Rogers, Teresa Bassett of Temple, Tim Prater (Becky) of Bryan, Jeanie Byers (Allen) of Nacogdoches and Albert Prater (Tammy) of Bryan; and his sister-in-law Carol Prater of Temple. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials to East Highway Baptist Church or to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Jack's name would be appreciated.
