He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Eugene Douthit, Jr. and Doris Elizabeth Watters. He is survived by: his significant other Marylyn McCulloch; his children, Brian, Marci Douthit, Aaron, Elizabeth Douthit, Kristin and Anthony Richards; his grandchildren, Eli Douthit, Jaxon Douthit, Alysa Douthit, Cecilia Douthit, Zoe Douthit, Margot Douthit, Worth Richards and Nash Richards; his siblings, Mark (Nan Douthit), Bruce (Susan Douthit), Ann (Scott Petersen) and Dawn (John Hinkle); and his uncle Jay Douthit. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.
