She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Roger and Zona Agnes McDonald (Hiser); her spouse W. Arvell Schmidt; her daughter Lana Sue Frantz; her grandson Justin Lee Schmidt; and her siblings, J. W. McDonald, Fred McDonald, Jesse Keltner and Ina Talbert.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Schmidt (Sharon) of Troy, David Schmidt (Debbie) of Moody and Lu Ann Popelka of Troy; her grandchildren, Amanda Frantz of Temple, Ashley Schmidt of Round Rock, Matthew Schmidt (Andrea) of Troy, Jessica Schmidt (Jon Caraballo) of Lorena, Jillian Schmidt of Waco, TX and Kaitlin Popelka (Keith Wallace) of Troy; her great grandchildren, Delilah Schmidt, Marcos Schmidt, Ellie Wallace and Rex Schmidt; and her sister Gertrude "Mac" Shaver of Belton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
