He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Baker and Leona Baker; and his brothers, Thomas Baker and Robert Baker. He is survived by: his children, Aundre Baker of Temple, Texas, Merrit D. Baker of Temple, Texas, Theresa Thomas of Gerrardtown and Julie Baker of Kansas City; his siblings, Russell Baker of Kansas City, Missouri, Mata Townsend of Kansas City, Ronda "Kaya" Gibson of Kansas City and Tracy Baker of Washington, D. C.; and his uncle Carlos Grier of Copperas Cove. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.
