He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil James and Oleta James (Emison); his wife Marilyn Hair James; and his sister Darlene Martin of North Carolina. He is survived by: his daughters, Debra James of Temple, Racheal Phillips of New Mexico and Ann Marie James of Gatesville. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
