He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurelio Rivera and Ramona Cabrales. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rivera of Temple; his siblings, Armando Rivera of Temple, Juvenal Rivera of Temple, Antonia Rivera of Houston, Luz Rivera of Troy and Elvira Rivera of Temple; and his children, Mario Reyna of Mexico, Aurelio Rivera Jr. of Temple and Jessica Valverde of Temple. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.
