It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammie Carnes of Sulphur Springs, Texas, born in Grandfield, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 10, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Wright and Sam Houston Wright; her siblings, Rose, Faula Mae, Margaret and Paul; and her sons, Douglas Carnes, Jr., Tommy Carnes and Larry Don Carnes.

She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn Robb of Dallas, TX; her grandsons, Douglas Carnes III of Canyon Lake, TX, Simon Spencer of Rohnert Park and Michael Robb of Dallas, TX.; and her husband Douglas Carnes.
