He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Cheatham and Mable Cheatham (Banks); and his siblings, Charlie Cheatham, Clyde Cheatham, Jack Cheatham, Bill Cheatham and Katy Cheatham.
He is survived by: his significant other Alta Fern; his children, Kurt Cheatham (Connie) and Dr. Karla Brown (Treg Brown); and his grandchildren, Britney Maxton (Jake), Katie Brown, Jake Brown, Cooper Brown and Mitchell Brown.
Despite his struggle with Alzheimer's in his late years, he was able to remain at home with her until the COVID pandemic struck.
