He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burl and Willlie Wood (Stapleton); his daughter Penny Wood; and his siblings, Dahlia Dickens and William Carroll Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Melton; his son Michael Wood (Kelly); his grandchildren, David Duncan (Candice), Jace Wood (Lori) and Jillian Wood Vincenti (Marc); his great grandchildren, Madison, Darla, Dacey, Darby Duncan, Lola, Vincenti, Brynlee, Sydney and Ashlyn; his sisters, Barbara Lennon and Patsy Yates; and his niece Shirley McPeak.
