In the sacred silence of farewell, Donald is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Donald's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Kern and Ralph Kern of Sulphur Springs; his wife Brenda Kern of Lake Holbrook; his son Robert Kern of Corinth, Texas.; his great-nephew Garrett Metzger; his sister Linda Jefferies of Midlothian; his niece Denise Metzger of Corinth; his nephews, Randy Woody of Abilene, Kevin Jones of Midlothian and Kaylon Jones of Gatesville; his sister-in-law Beverly Woody of Mineola; and also Lake Holbrook. He was also cherished by friends and brother and sister-in-law.
