He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lucian and Zona Bell Reed (Roberts); his wife Daisy Golden; and his sisters, Marie Thomas, Lula Woods and Evelyn Perkins.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Hatfield (Pat) of Stinnett, Carl Lucian Reed (Gail) of Keithville and Larry Joe Reed (Kris) of Borger; and his grandchildren, Rodney Reed, Carla Singer, Chad Reed, Kellie Martinez, Leslie Adams, Carrie Kemp, Jeremy Hatfield, Randy Hatfield, Amy Horton and Wendy Gill. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
