It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lanny Dale Knowles of Stamford, Texas, born in Memphis, Texas, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Nelvis and Lula Elizabeth King Knowles; and his siblings, Jimmy Knowles, Nelvis Knowles, Ronnie Thomason, Debbie Aguilar and Janis McNealy.
He is survived by: his wife Dovie Knowles of Stamford; his children, Clint, Estelle Knowles of Haskell, Clifton Knowles of Avoca, Dale and Calvin Choate of Avoca; his grandchildren, Dakota, Kody Hawkins of Boise City, OK, Debra Knowles of Canyon, Dyna, Nicholas Rogers of Knox City, Matthew Knowles of Stamford, Keith Knowles of Stamford, Avery Choate of Abilene, Amber, Scott Kennedy of Haskell and James Hammond of Lubbock; his great grandchild Oakley Hawkins; and his sister Cathy Pipins of Mansfield.
