She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leo Frank Vavra and Norma Hellen Patzig; her siblings, Ricky Vavra and Linda Grantges; her husband Paul Boedeker of Stamford; her children, Lori Hopkins and Ryan Boedeker; and her grandson Mason Saldana.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the NOCC National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
