He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Vandaveer (McDowell); his parents, Alice and Zoe Vandaveer Sr.; and his brother Henry Vandaveer. He is survived by: his children, Judith Gauen (Stephen), Michael and Jon (Lisa); his grandsons, Michael, Matthew Gauen (Traci) and Justin Vandaveer (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Johnathan, Joshua Gauen, McKinsley and Kendalyn Vandaveer.
