She is survived by: her husband Antonio Benavides Jr. (Tony); her children, Tony Benavides III (Rosa), Melba Benavides and Elsa Piekielniak (John); her grandchildren, Tony Benavides IV, Jacob and Ann Marie Piekielniak; and her great grandchild Lola Benavides.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Viola's honor to Catholic Charities of Houston.
