She is survived by: her husband Robert John Koperwhats; her daughters, Laura Bruhn (Pete) and Leslie Schmidt; her grandson Ryan Schmidt; and her siblings, Mary Pratt, Daniel Ternus, Joseph Ternus and Thomas Ternus.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Martha's name to the American Cancer Society.
