She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernice Jewel and Albert Lewing, Sr.; her siblings, Albert Jr. and Flora May Lewing; her daughter Pamela Lewis; and her granddaughter Brittany Akers.
She is survived by: her sons, Jason Armistead (Sara) and Billy Armistead; and her sisters, Barbara Bowers and Cassie Lewing. She is also survived by grandchildren.
While flowers are welcomed, the family also asks that any donations and contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and any Mental Health Awareness organization in Carolyn's memory.
