She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Murtaugh and Cleatta Murtaugh; and her husband Dick. She is survived by: her son Michael Cashion; her grandchildren, Quinn and Claire; her son Mark Cashion (Monique); her grandchildren, William and Lachlan; her great grandchild Shea Thornfield (Pete); her brother Barry Murtaugh (Courtney Murtaugh); and also, Gavin and Molly. She is also survived by other family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to the Texas Foods Bank be made in her name.
