She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herman A. Blankenship and Ella Mae Kornegay; her former husband Allen Markwood; her daughter Rhonda Boswell; her stepson Russell; her daughter-in-law Becky Absher; her husband Dan Absher; and her brother Don Blankenship.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay's memory may be made to The American Lung Association or to Don't Forget to Feed Me, a local non-profit group that provides food for pets whose owners are elderly, house-bound, homeless or unable to afford food for their pets.
