She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Spencer Hester and Horace Hester; her husband Robert W. Ward; and her brothers, Joe Hester and Horace Hester.

She is survived by: her children, Robert "Robby" Ward, Jr. (Tess) of Silsbee and Simberly Modica (Thomas) of Katy; her grandchildren, Sean Ward, Shane Ward, Justin Ward, T. J. Modica and Reid Modica; and her sister Peggy Hinds of Athens.
