She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmo Ekarius and Oridell Ekarius; and her brother Wayne Ekarius. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Heath (Katie), Arya and Brent (Ashley); and her siblings, Vernon (Bev), Charles (Boopie) and Lois (Cyril). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Sealy, Texas.
