It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edward Hawk of Savoy, Texas, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Gerard Hawk and Myrtle Hawk (Sanderson); his brother Harold Hawk; his sister-in-law Bertine Hawk; and his siblings, Gladys Pierce and Troyer "Chock" Hawk.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Lorene Cooksey; his daughters, Vicky (Barry Billings) of Sherman, Kathy (Ken Sifford) of Wichita and Debbie (James Cordell) of Savoy; his grandchildren, Bethany, Aron Yert of Cedar Rapids, Andrea Billings, Bonnie Billings of Sherman, Steve of Wichita, Mistie Sifford of Wichita, Shelby Sifford of Wichita, David Sifford of Wichita, Caleb Howard of Wichita, Hanna and John Haffner of Cleburne; and his great grandchildren, Brianna Ward, John Ward, Isaac Yert, Isaac Ashby, Cassie Ashby, Carlie Ashby, Jace Sifford, Charlie Haffner and Henry Haffner.
