He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe G. Garcia and Catalina "Cora" Garcia; and his siblings, Rene Garcia and Elmira Mirelez. He is survived by: his wife Idolina S. Garcia; his sons, Roel Garcia, Jr., Ronnie Garcia (Erain), Randy Garcia (Carol) and Ryan Garcia (Yolanda); and his brothers, Rudy Garcia and Raul Garcia (Ana Lisa). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews and friends.
