He was predeceased by: his parent Roel Lazo Sr.; his grandmother Elva Lazo; his uncle Alberto Rene Lazo; and his aunt Melissa Alaniz. He is survived by: his mother Loura Perez (Roel) of San Diego, Texas; his wife Reyna Chapa Lazo of San Diego, Texas; his daughter Serenity Grace Lazo (Heyley Nevaeh Lazo); his grandparents, Cristobal Eloy Lazo of San Diego, Texas, Juan and Rosario Garcia of Alice, Texas; his brothers, Bobby Gonzalez of San Diego, Texas and Jacob Ryan Lazo of Dallas, Texas; his stepsiblings, Erica, Denise, Lilly Kaycee Munoz, Eddie, Lucas Munoz and Roel Perez Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Daniel, Olivia Gomez, Danielle and Ana Patricia Gomez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
