He was predeceased by: his wife Elva C. Maldonado; and his son Raul Mario Maldonado Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Roel M. Maldonado (Diana), Rene M. Maldonado (Maribel), Ramon M. Maldonado (Cindy), Rodolfo M. Maldonado (Elia) and Rosa M. Maldonado (Norma) of Corpus Christi, Texas; and his sisters-in-law, Alicia and Odilia Mendiola of Rockport, Texas. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
