It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Garcia of San Diego, Texas, born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rosa, Ysidro Garcia and Jimmy Acevedo; and his uncles, Joe Garcia and Bob Garrison.

He is survived by: his parents, Maria Garcia and Arturo Joe Garcia of Red Oak; his sister April (David Starks Jr.) of Waxahachie; his nephews, Ethan and Ian Starks of Waxahachie; and his grandmother Sara Acevedo of Waxahachie. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and their children.
