He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Estringel and Asuncion Estringel; his sons, Luis Angel Estringel Jr. and Jose Oscar Estringel; and his siblings, Dagoberto Estringel, Olga Shultz, Hortencia Trevino, Eva Charles and Belinda Moreno.
He is survived by: his children, Irene E. Cantu (Fidencio) of San Diego, Texas, Veronica E. De La (Abel), Robert Estringel of Alice, Texas and Rudy Estringel (Linda) of Alice, Texas; and his grandchildren, Ruben E. Cantu, Jose Oscar Estringel, Rudy Estringel, Jr., Amanda Estringel, Robert Estringel Jr., Joseph Mitchel Carbajal, Erica Lichtenberger, Crystal E. Garcia, Daniel Lichtenberger, Jr., Alexis Nicole Estringel, Victor Ontiveros and Alexis Renee Estringel. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
