He is survived by : his wife of 26 years of marriage, Marie Gilma Luera of San Diego, Texas; his children, Rosalinda Gutierrez (Ruben) of San Diego, Texas, Debra Hernandez (Randy) of San Diego, Texas, Jessica Munoz (Danny) of Alice, Texas, Kimberly Molina (Taylor) of San Diego, Texas, Michael Luera of San Diego, Texas, Julian Luera of San Diego, Texas, Javier Benavides (Brianna) and Rene Everett Jr. (Roxie) of Austin, Texas; Rene Everett III of San Diego, Texas; and his siblings, Jose Maria Luera (Josie) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cenovio Luera Jr. (Dalia), Salvador Luera (Tina) of San Diego, Texas, Magdalena Salinas of Bishop, Texas, Ernestina Trevino (Tomas) of La Rosita, Texas and Angelica Maria Luera of San Diego, Texas. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
