She was predeceased by: her parents, Matias C. Briones and Maria Luisa Alvarado; her son Frank Garza; and her siblings, Gilberto Briones, Matias Briones Jr., Leticia Briones and Modesta Arredondo.
She is survived by: her son Michael Garza (Laura) of San Diego; and her siblings, Hector Briones (Priscilla), Juan Briones (Irma), Frank Briones (Maria), Roel Briones, Robert Briones (Lupita), Olga Gonzalez (Pancho) and Johanna Briones. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
