It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alexander Bear (San Diego, Texas), who passed away on July 7, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandmothers, Julia Corona and Elodia Martinez; and his mother-in-law Concepcion "Concha" Pena. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bear of San Diego, Texas; his children, Alex Bear Jr. (Leana), Albert Bear (Julia), Joe Derrick Bear (Aubrey), Adrian Bear (Natalie), Richard K. Pena Jr. (Marcia), Brandon Bear, Glenda Bear (Chris) and Geneva Bear (Eloy); his parents, Arturo Alaniz and Olga Alaniz of San Diego, Texas; his father-in-law Natividad "Nati" Pena; his siblings, Arturo Alaniz Jr., Jose Rene Alaniz, Joe Lee Alaniz (Irma), Roel Alaniz (Amanda), Belinda Everett, Brenda Alaniz and Melissa A. Gonzalez; and his grandchildren, Amando Pena, Addilyn Navejar, David Christopher Navejar and Joe Derrick Bear Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
