She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Carnell Black and Leona Mae Felder Black; her husband Howard Tyer; her sons, Bob Tyer and Ronnie Tyer; and her sister Erma Lee Palmer.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry; her son-in-law Tim Germany of Alto; and her grandchildren, Ralph Johnston of New Diana, Shannon, Jerry Flowers of Pollok, Nathan, Tori Johnston, Longview, Brandi, Doug Bing of Alto, Timothy Germany of Alto, Cameron, Linda Tyer of New Braunfels, Collin Tyer of Lockhart, Brandon, Amy Tyer of Hudson and Josh Tyer of Alto. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
