With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maricela Jacquez of Richmond, Texas, born in Harlingen, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 66. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Ortiz and Nicolasa Delgado; her daughter Veronica Covarrubias; her sisters, Mary Jacquez and Rosalinda Marroquin; and her niece Christina Jacquez.

She is survived by: her husband Antonio Jacquez; her daughters, Yvette Ortega Melgar and Erika Perez (Charlie); her grandchildren, George Hernandez (Lizette), Javier Alvaro Agudelo, Viviana Agudelo, Caezar Melgar and Alyssa Hays (Kai); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Hernandez and Noah Hernandez.
