He was predeceased by: his parents, Lupe Garza and Josefa Garza; and his siblings, George Garza, Lupito Garza, Esperanza Carranza, Soledad Cortez, Gloria B. Garza and Antonia Barrera.
He is survived by: his children, Jesse Garza (Anne), Frank Garza (Misty), George Garza, Phillip Cook, Tracy Phillips and Tricia Sosnowski (Robert); and his siblings, Lupe Carranza (Esteban), Mary McKinney, Delia Lyman, Connie Saucedo (John), Yolanda Garcia (Adan) and Johnny Garza (Phyllis). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
