With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Kocian of Richmond, Texas, born in Ross, Texas, who passed away on January 28, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hegar and Emily Hegar (Elles); her husband Joe Kocian; and her siblings, Anna Vera Spicer, Ida Ruth Hodge and John Hegar Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Mari-Anne Gordon (Bruce) of Richmond and Michael Kocian (Melanie) of Brenham; and her grandchildren, Gillian, Marley, Landon Kocian and Sarah Gordon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Brethren Church.
