She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Samples and Opal Samples (Waggoner); her husband Malcolm Hood; her sister Laverne Ward; and her siblings-in-law, Eddie Ward, Byron Hood, Lyndon Hood, George Johnson, Judy Hood, Lynda Johnson and Janet Hood.
She is survived by: her son Michael Hood (Jennifer Hood); her grandchild Hayden Hood; and her siblings-in-law, Brenda Hood and David Hood. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
