He was predeceased by: his parent Johnnie Roberts Hendrix; his wife Wilma Hendrix; his father Ed Hendrix; his son David Lee Yount; his grandson Dalton William Yount; and his brothers, William Edward Hendrix (Sonny) and Donald Gwen Hendrix.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Yount (Molly) of Ratcliff, Virginia Kirchmer of Onalaska, Charles Milton Hendrix, Jr. of Lufkin, Connie Acker (Eddie) of Onalaska and Pam Lucas of White Settlement; his grandchildren, Danielle, Dustin, Matthew, Kevin, Linda, Jason, Amber, Dwain, Emily, April, Tiffany, Megan, Steven, Jeremiah and Joni; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Darbi, Aaron, Taylor, Kevin Jr., Chase, Madi, Dominick, Macie and Dylan; his great great grandchildren, Braxton and Kevin III; and his sister Maxine Huhs of Center. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
