She was predeceased by: her father Chester Bell; her husband Fred Aubrey Childress; her children, Ray Aubrey Childress and Mary Evelyn Block; and her grandson Fred Aubrey Childress Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Freida Ann Leach of Princeton and Judy Gail Snell of Creede, Colorado.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
