Long time Princeton resident Jerry Owen White passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus after a brief battle with lung cancer on December 10, 2019.
Jerry was born on December 31, 1954 in Pampa, Gray County, Texas to Owen White, a carpenter and builder by trade, and Margaret Hutto White, a dressmaker and designer.
Jerry was an attentive and romantic husband to the love of his life, Brenda Kaye Massey West who he wed on May 28, 1988 in Collin County, Texas.
Jerry continued to build his construction business while Brenda pursued a career in home health care. Jerry loved being a father to her two young sons, James and Kyle, teaching them how to grow into men and make right choices. Jerry also adored being a Grandpa to his grandchildren who he affectionately called his GrandGirls.
Jerry was loved by all who knew him for his kind heart, his quick smile and his even quicker wit. Jerry will be remembered as being a loyal friend and hard worker by all who knew him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Owen White of Blue Ridge, Tx and Margaret White Neal of Elk City, OK as well as his grandparents, Alfred and Goldie Hutto of Clarendon, Tx and Wylie and Emma White of McKinney, Tx as well as his brother John Ellis White of Princeton, Tx and sister Judy Gayle Laing of Amarillo, Tx and nephew Levi Blackmon of Elk City, Ok. Jerry is survived by his wife Brenda White, his two stepsons James West and Kyle West, two sisters, Shirley Welch of Cordell, Oklahoma and Glynda Lomax of Glencoe, Arkansas, Nieces, Angie White Walker of Cordell, Oklahoma, Stephanie Denton of Cordell, Oklahoma, Kimberly West of Clarendon, Texas, Nephews, Billy Clayton, Joey Cryer and Michael Clayton of Amarillo, Texas, and and his grandchildren.
