She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Samuel A. Walker and Ella G. Gerald Walker; her husband John Simon Sherman; and her sisters, Miriam Taylor, Lois McCoy and Emily Walker.
She is survived by: her close friend Elvino Christian; her son John; her grandchildren, Calvin (Keiko Claiser), Heather (Josh McElhinney) and Nicole (Thadeus Doyle); her daughter Jan (Jerry Baker); her grandchildren, Jerry Baker Jr., Dawn Herndon and Jessica Baker (Raul Martinez); her daughter Jolene Sherman; her grandchildren, Heidi (Damon Long), Roman Lindstrom and Kobe Lindstrom; and her great grandchildren, Ryuku, Kenshi, Mizuki Claiser, Haylee, Kandyce Pallotto, Jaxon Boyer, Ashly, River Long, Kryslin, Jewel Quaethem, Theory Herndon, Ashton and London Martinez.
