He is survived by: his wife Betty Coffin; his son Timothy Mitchell of Terrell, TX; his daughter-in-law Sonya Mitchell of Pottsboro, TX; his grandson Bradley Mitchell of Pottsboro, TX; his great grandchildren, Kyndell Mitchell and Tyler Mitchell; his sister Mildred Carrington of San Antonio, TX; and his close friend Will Morgan of Palestine, TX.
