With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Paulette Dare of Port Lavaca, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 3, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Laura leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Laura may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reggie Simmons and Nita Burnett Simmons; her husband Ernie Dare of Port Lavaca; and her stepchildren, Allen Dare and Mickey Fritz.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Barfield (Marsha) of San Antonio and Brandy Sanders of Port Lavaca; her stepchildren, Michael Dare, Karri Boyd, Donna Maverick and Gloria Goyen; and her brother Kim Simmons (Kay) of Victoria. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
