It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Bercier Gray of Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Opal Bercier may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Opal Bercier touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vera Broussard and Voorhies Bossier; her siblings, Voorhies Bercier Jr., Jerrell Bercier, Denroy Bercier, Bayo Bercier, Arthur Bossier, Orelia Jackson and Mattie Champagne; and her son Ricky Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Vera Evans, Russell Evans, Camella O'Brien and Charles O'Brien. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
