He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Caldwell Pierce and Winford James Pierce; his brother Kenneth Russell Pierce; and his siblings-in-law, Leo Moon, Bob Parker and Linda Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Earline Pierce of Pineland, Texas; his children, Patsy Pierce of Hardin, Texas, Penny Pierce of Granbury, Jana Pierce Tiller of Grandview, Joni Pierce Simmons (Keith) of Colfax, LA., Raymond Sanders (Rita) and Doyle Sanders (Bangone) of Pineland, Texas; his grandchildren, Val Rich, Cam Rich, Charlie Roof, Katherine Tiller, Grace Tiller, Scott Sims, Steven Sims, Alan Simmons, Ashley Gibson, Shillean Sanders, Jessica La Grappe and Sara Sanders; and his siblings, Joyce Marie Moon of New Braunfels, Catherine Parker of Hardin, Texas and Ivan Pierce of Martinsville. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
