She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Kenneth Bobbitt, Sr. and Thelma Lee Lane Bobbitt; her daughter Kathy Ann Cheney; her brother John Bobbitt, Jr.; her grandchildren, Haylee Sowell (Brent), Victoria Root (Zach) and Alex Cheney; her great grandchild Slade Sowell; and her siblings, Janice Gilley of Pineland, Betty West (Wayne) of Pineland and Weldon Bobbitt (Barbara) of Smithville. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jean's family requests that in lieu of flowers and plants, donations be made to Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
