She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Garcia Sr.; her parents, Olivia C. Gutierrez and Eugenio Gutierrez Sr.; and her brother Eugenio 'Gene Gutierrez Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Oscar Jr., Melissa Alvarado (Joe) of McAllen, Orlando and Omar Garcia (Ronnie) of Pharr; and her siblings, Beatriz Gutierrez of Pharr, Eloy Gutierrez (Yolanda) of San Antonio, Erasmo Sr. Gutierrez (Rosie) of San Juan and Samuel Gutierrez Sr. (Emma) of Austin. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
